I actually did two versions of this page, one just straight coloring without the usual touch-ups as an experiment to see how much of a difference they make. Here's the alternate version if anyone wants to see how things would look otherwise -

Anyway, page itself! This Mech / Jake fight's kind of weird in comparison to how the others are done throughout most of this sequence, as it just sort of keeps getting cut to in the middle of other fights going on. Do like how it comes out though, and I like how Adam wrote it as basically being Mech clearly holding back throughout. Not a whole lot of need to bust out the lasers and the like when the guy you're fighting stands no chance in even just a fist-fight.

So yeah, not a whole lot to say here, but hope everyone enjoys!

Adam's Comments:
Yeah, a big problem with Jake vs. Mech is that it's pretty one-sided. Which isn't really Jake's fault, it's more that Mech is easily the best fighter out of all of the cyborgs so there's not much of a chance for him to beat him solo.

Since it's sorta unfair I didn't wanna dwell on it too much and have pages of Jake getting beaten up, so that one's mostly glossed over. This fight's already too long with all the focuses it's split between.

Y'know, Chiko-tan's expression was sorta a pain. It has to look emotionless without vacant, which took me forever to get right in line art. In the same department, I can never get Yuki Nagato from Haruhi right. Whenever I draw her she comes out looking really surprised about something.
