And we have a Jenny hug! Woo, pretty good finally getting that in there, feels like it's been ages. Looks like she just barely squeaked it in in time, since there are only three more pages to go in this chapter.
We get the subject of Alex's email to Grant brought back up. Do like how that worked out, and the group's analysis of this. Did sort of make me ponder about the idea of doing a joke with Alex fighting a chainsaw-wielding robot just as a bit of a punchline to this, but dunno where I'd work that in. Wouldn't really fit with WaR, even as just a one-off joke.
Not sure when the next email between Grant and Alex will be. Can say it won't be in the next chapter of either comic unless it comes at the end of the Blues one - WaR's going to be a bit too busy for it - but we'll see, I guess. If nothing else, Blues is still about to be relevant to WaR in a different way.

Like Andy says- this comic didn't have as much at stake at the other ones, just being a single madman going after them, but I think it means a lot the kids were able to rise to the challenge, and aside from the length very happy with how this chapter turned out. ^^ Certainly did have fun and establish a pretty neat villain at any rate.
Thank God we got Jenny's hug. I was writing this script trying to end the chapter as soon as possible by this point and realized, "Oh, crap! She hasn't hugged someone yet!" Kinda unnecessary to shove it in here since she's in every other page this chapter so could've gotten a chance later but eh.
But yeah, the whole e-mail thing really came together nicely. Hopefully next time it happens it'll tie into what's going on in whatever comic it comes up in. But yeah, like Martin said, WaR has a very major nod to Blues that'll become apparent shortly. Sadly the next chapter of Blues won't have the e-mail in it either. Maybe the chapter following that.
On the subject of Wright As Rayne.... Heh. Alex Rayne. Kid in the center who controls the weather is named Alex. That was totally by accident- didn't realize it until after I'd typed it. ^^
