Martin's Comments:
Not a whole lot to say on this one, but hey, back to Darkskull! If this catches on then coming soon Blues will be cancelled and we'll start up Darkskull 2099, followed soon after by Ultimate Darkskull and Giant Size Darkskull. I'm sure it'll be great.

Seriously though, yeah, Fortress tends to be pretty fun to play around with, and what's kind of funny is Adam and I have gotten all sorts of new ideas for him recently. Shame the scripts for this chapter've been finished for awhile and the pages almost are at this point.

Not to say the coloring is, though. Still need to pick up the pace there, and one upcoming page probably sets the record for the biggest head count in any of the comics to date and... Yeah, not looking forward to handling that one. Still, think the page itself is pretty fun and hopefully our readers will too. Either way, that one's still a little bit off from where we are right now.

Adam's Comments:
This sequence gives us a lot more to talk about. ^^ Martin and I just yesterday watched an online video about the comics Darkskull was created to parody and I think we were both surprised by how close we got. On a similar topic, the character is also designed to parody the protagonist of a cop show, and I'm pretty sure that "Your lawyers can't protect you from me" is a direct lift from it. The crummy, overly-affectionate narration was also a lot of fun. I'm not really sure if I'll bring Darkskull back besides the occasional cameo but given how enjoyable he is, maybe I will. What do you guys think?

I like how in Darkskull's Anti-Hero Vision, Grant's shirt is pink. He could be assuming Grant is a girl, or since it's an Alex Rayne shirt so could be a subconscious shot at Alex's sexuality. Just kinda neat.

Crap, I never did explain in-story where Casey, that giant gun, came from. Idea I had in mind for it was that this cowboy-themed Superhero wound up fighting a villain armed with it in Stonewall and once the fight was over it was confiscated. I think at one point I was going to have the chapter open on the aftermath of that fight and have Fortress be the cop doing the arrest. Eh, maybe sometime down the road.

Giving your weapon a girl's name is something that was ripe for parody, but then again I'm addicted to TF2, so guess I shouldn't talk.

Martin's Comments:
Y'know, given the specific cop who influenced him, I kind of wonder if we should do a follow-up story based around his partner where everyone she tries to help she just winds up ruining their lives.

you know if fortress what's to stop bad guys good there are a lot of bad guys who need to go but why kill or beat up a guy who may or may not be a petty thief there are a lot more bad guys who are more evil then a petty thief.
