And this marks page 100! Yeah, Adam aimed to intentionally set these to debut for the 100th page - nice bit of writing there, and it instantly makes it more memorable than its counterparts - WaR and BP's 100th pages are pretty forgettable.
Speaking of those two, this is a good excuse for a plug as both just finished their longest chapters to date and will be going on a short story break. Both will still have regular updates and WaR has new content, which based on some ideas kicked around for down the line might ultimately be relevant to Blues if you want to take a look just to be sure.
Anyway, back to this page. Went with a new color scheme from the one we saw on the last cover - those were just recycled and darkened from an old, old pic of the group, and I never intended to stick with those colors past that. Nothing is really different though, besides a slight chance to Grant's logo as well as Valerie's sleeves originally being black. Also settled on a shade of blue for Grant's costume since it used to vary pretty wildly.
The next few pages will be walking through some of the design choices on those, so I figure Adam won't be going into that much.

Yeah, I realized page 100 was coming up and knew we'd be coming onto the costume reveal soon, so paced things so they'd come out this way. Here's to 100 more. ^^
We'll be getting to talking about every individual costume over the next few updates, but been waiting to show this one off since this is the first really good picture we've had of them. Funny to think about that- the first pictures I did of each kid included their superhero costumes (some of which looked very, VERY different than the final product) so just seems like the viewers should've seen them by now. Odd. ^^

Tadah! And now, fan artwork of them in a Justice League pose has to be made. Too bad I suck at drawing people. ;_;
...wait, that's already almost a JL pose as-is. Never mind then. (phew. I don't have to draw people)
Now we just have to wait to see what names their half-mature-half-childish minds came up with for themselves. We've already sorta confirmed Songbird for Grant, given the initials here. I think we'll let the characters answer for themselves, though.
Kinda interesting how the bright primary colors are on the left and the darker shades on the right. You're really playing with color contrast and other stuff like that in this chapter, aren't you? Art students are gonna love this chapter. ...Well, them and people who've read up on their color and symbolism tropes. Same thing, really.
