Adam's Comments:
Who is Neil McCay?

First of all, yeah, those thought-boxes are meant to be Aurora's. The speech-bubbles in the comic are always an off-white color to not stick out as much, so just made her thought-color pure, solid white. Stands out just enough compared to the balloons and are visibly hers.

The Insomniac IS self-centered. His power does have the potential to help people, and not just by doing things like taking away their free will or re-writing their personality. The power to see another's thoughts really can make a pretty huge difference in their lives if needed.

I'm pretty sure everybody's gone through that point of feeling like garbage and telling someone else they're alright and not to worry. Of saying "I'm fine" while you're having those kinds of thoughts. Not too sound too cheesy, but providing moral support and love to a person who needs it is itself a superpower.

Part of the theme of the chapter is peeling back the masks of someone and showing their true self. Aurora, while things look better for her, is still in a pretty dark place mentally and still needs help. Insomniac entered the comic as a super-villain in a cliched battle against our hero. But if you look deeper there is virtue to him that he's been ignoring. He just needed someone like Aurora to show it to him.

Granted, he did a lot of other horrible things tonight, so does the inner core outshine the surface? Who is Neil McCay?

Martin's Comments:
Yeah, think this is kind of a good page for really examining a bit more into both characters and peeling back some of the doubts both of them have about their situations and the changes in life they've gone through as of late.

Think Adam pretty well covered a lot of that, but I do like how the page on the whole came out and hope everyone enjoys it. Certainly a feeling pretty much everyone can relate to I'd imagine, everyone's had those times when they just find themselves feeling helpless and completely self-loathing and it's always good to have someone there just to listen and offer some words of encouragement if nothing else.

This is a very interesting page for sure... unfortunately I'm not quite with it enough/braining well enough to really provide much analysis but? Interesting yes.
