Totally not about to become important.
So yeah.... turns out William's job is actually a bit more unusual than it looked at first. Who would order a weapon like that and what else they're commissioning is gonna turn out to be a major factor in this comic.
I mean, this is a super-hero comic and a major factor is always people trying to make absurdly dangerous and terrifying weapons to keep us safe that inevitably go wrong.

So, anyone want to make an educated guess on how long before that thing explodes?
Nothing too much to say on this one. The bomb was sort of complicated to color, but I took some shortcuts where it was possible to without being too obvious. Also like how that painting in the first couple of panels came out - took a bit of working itself, but think I got a decent look to it.
Also we can see a bit of their kitchen from here. Remember what happened last time we saw it?

A flash grenade on steroids with an estimated 12-hour blindness as a deliberate effect.
This can go bad in so many ways if it falls into the wrong, or hell, even the right hands. Mass blindness causes panic causes hysteria. Non-blinded people can easily take advantage of the blinded people in so many horrible ways. And even if it's for crowd control with peaceful intentions, the blinded people don't know that they're not in danger since they can't see what the hell is going on anymore and they're in a mob surrounded by other people in the mob, all of which are panicking. This won't help stop crowd control. It's a fear weapon.
Nonlethal or not, this is Not. Good. At all.
...Incidentally, I just figured out why there's a UN ban on laser blinding weapons. I'd never even heard of that sort of thing until I read this page and subsequently looked it up. Neat.
