Martin's Comments:
And here's where the proceedings darken and the chapter really gets underway. We're at the halfway point of it now, incidentally.

Nothing much to say on this one, but am pretty happy with it. Mostly Adam's work to thank for that, he did a great job with this one.

Adam's Comments:
.... Huh. Yeah, this did come out dark. It's like.... until I finally posted this whole storyline, I didn't realize just how grim it really was. At least this is the low-point, so to speak. After this page things get..... brighter.

In the vein of Aurora's insecurities mirroring my own, I put a lot of my self-worth in going to college and feel like I'd be a worthless pile of garbage if I dropped out. I once failed a biology test and then the next night had a dream my Mom threw me out of the house.

Funny thing about that letter- I wrote the script for this page at a time when Martin wasn't here, and I really wanted his opinion on it. I wanted that letter to really look like something an art school would send someone. Another friend of mine was on AIM so I asked if he'd look at the letter.

He read it and then said that the people at that school were clearly jerks and I shouldn't feel bad being rejected. I guess that answered my question.

Not only saying she didn't get in, not only saying her art isn't up to admission standards, but straight up saying "Don't try to enroll here again"? That's harsh even for rejection letters.
Poor Aurora. :iconsadhugplz::iconsadhugplz::iconsadhugplz::iconsadhugplz::iconsadhugplz:
