Martin's Comments:
The coloring draining was pretty much an ad lib - I mentioned the idea to Adam a page or two before this, and he threw in it being responded to when he actually drew it.

Really like the way it wound up working out, but it wound up complicating things a good bit. I essentially had to redo the palette for it. As said I'm happy with the results, and I do like the idea of Aurora's combat mode of sorts including making everything but herself and her constructs devoid of color. Gives a nice, intimidating air to things.

Adam's Comments:
The idea of Aurora making construct mockeries of the kids was Martin's idea too, I think. Really liked that idea since I knew I could make twisted versions of them, though the only ones that sorta look that way are the mournful-birdboy-Grant and the troll-child-Lore.

Something else about Aurora from the beginning was that she'd have a princess thing, hence the name. That was something I totally forgot about her until Martin suggested she magic herself up a princess gown along with the black and white thing.

The Princess dress doesn't even look similar to her old design, which was more of a ballroom gown with a picture of a tree on the skirt. This one is a bit more Zelda-ish. I do like that motif of the broken prism on her skirt, though. ^^

Even the background has no color! I... I wonder what the range is for this. How far do you have to go before you get back to Technicolor land? And for a more technical question, did you color in everything and convert it to grayscale, or just color it in grayscale from the start?

I wonder how this is gonna affect Valerie's lasers. Or if Valerie can even absorb these light-constructs the same way she can absorb lasers.

Love the Zelda shout-out, by the way. Twilight Princess version...wow, that's actually more meaningful than you probably intended, what with the whole light/dark dichotomy in TP. Her dress is made of light and rags, right? Just a recolor of the tattered clothes she had before, with the extra stuff made of light altered in pattern to imitate cloth? With added solidness? That's how I see it anyway.
