Adam's Comments:
Nng. Marvelous Man's supposed to be half-throwing Jake behind him in that last panel. Kinda just looks wonky.

I kiiiiinda forgot about this page. I really only included it because it seemed like the logical step Marvelous Man would take; he thinks Jake's influence is what's shaping these kids so he tries to "free" them from it. Makes sense, but it's way less impactful than the page right before and the one right after it. Also I wanted address that our "hero" just valiantly used blackmail and extortion to keep from going to prison.

Aaaand... Yeah, Marvelous Man's powers are basically LEGO Genetics (Anybody interested in starting a Tropes page for the comic? Anyone?). It's one of those things where I've read so many comic books that utilize the Trope I didn't realize until I saw that Trope title how ridiculous the science involved was. I genuinely had zero idea how to do this plot without that Trope. Jake summing it up with "sewing the kids' genetic sequences onto your DNA" was kinda meant to acknowledge the silliness of the idea. Was gonna have Stickset's reply be "That's a GROSS oversimplification..." but thought it'd be funnier for her to be having a mini-breakdown.

One thing I'm not sure of is what Marvelous Man's thinking in the last panel. Throughout the chapter he thinks the kids are just misguided and being manipulated by Jake. With that last panel he either just saw that they're smarter than he realized and that they really DID choose to do this, or "realized" that Jake's manipulations are too deep for them to be shaken out of it so easily. I... genuinely don't know which one it is; with the way the following pages are written you can kinda interpret it either way. Maybe it'll become clear when I finish the chapter. Not scripted the ending quite yet. Martin, meanwhile is.... Heh. What? Fifty pages ahead on scripts by now, buddy? ^^

Martin's Comments:
Yeah, WaR is something like 40 pages ahead of schedule at the moment, since both the current chapter and the next one have been finished already. Blues tends to be a lot closer to the chest.

Not sure how much I've really got on this one offhand but I do hope everyone enjoys it. Admittedly kind of running out of things to talk about with the chapter it feels like - whole lot of it is pretty much this one room and this one conversation after all.

Do hope though that everyone enjoys. Be sure to swing by Saturday for more.
